Here is just a quick peak at what I created over the weekend…

My first creations were these cupcakes. My sister suggested awhile back that I try and make some caramel cupcakes so voila!

They are pretty scrummy if I do say so myself!

Also here is a  sneak peak of a card that I whipped up for a friends birthday, best not show the whole thing until I give it to her! hehe

Just thought I would share some of the creations I have been working on. With Grace sleeping better during the day, I am making the most of some creative time. It seems since Grace was born my mojo is slowly coming back and I am getting back into some layouts. The first one is a layout I scrap lifted and wanted to add to Graces 12×12 album about the things that I went through in pregnancy. Simple but tells the story.

Then I had these photos from my birthday this year that needed to be scrapped. I wasn’t sure about this layout to start with but really like how it’s turned out. It inspired me to submit 3 layouts to the BasicGrey gallery. I shall see how I get on. I’ve been thinking when I get a little more in the swing of layouts I may submit some to mags and see what happens. You just never know.

Lastly just a very quick card I whipped up with the cuttlebug for Craig’s brothers birthday.

Well better get back to some more creating whilst Grace snores logs! hehe

Just thought I would share some cards I have whipped up. I got some new stamps the other day that had this cool butterfly in the set. Also I have been using my new toy, the fiskars threading water punch! Man is it cool, great for making cards and I’m sure it will be very handy on pages too. Here are some photos of the baby album I am making for Grace to capture her first 12 months. I really am happy with how it has come together and because I am following a simple formula it is easy to get it completed each month. I shall keep posting the updates as the months go by so look out for them.

All this WOO HOOTING about my week is good fun, if you haven’t tried it give it a go! Makes you realise just how lucky you are…

1. Visiting the Dunkleys Craft show with my sister and friend. It was worth a looksie but there wasn’t anything new so will wait a few more years to go again.

2. The STUNNING weather!! It has been so warm and nice, but I believe we are in for rain. I think for us scrappers it’s a win/win situation because we can enjoy the sun then create when it rains! :p

3. Creating a layout, it’s be awhile. It’s simple but was in the to-do pile of photos.

 4. Completing Grace’s 12 months album up to date. (see other post for photos)

5. Sharing the first BBQ of the season with friends on a glorious sunny Sunday. What a yum spread we were indulged with!

6. Getting out walking on the beach. Note to self - DON’T try to push the stroller over huge sand dunes! It’s jolly hard work hehe

Just a quick post today , it’s a beautiful frosty sunny day so we are off out to enjoy it. First though here they are, the layouts I worked on yesterday.

Well I’m gradually getting into the swing of motherhood. It was a bit daunting on Monday when Craig went back to work, but we had a good day and Grace and I even ventured out to the mall and spotlight. We have been out for a  few walks in between the rain and crap weather. I shouldn’t complain but I am so totally over this weather!! We just have to remember each day is a day closer to spring. I was really happy to see on our walk earlier in the week that the daffodils and springs bulbs are coming up, YAY!

One thing Grace is struggling with is lower wind pain, I think it’s known as colic (not to sure). If anyone has some old fashioned cures or tips to ease it for her I would be very happy to hear them. Other than that she is an easy baby, great for a first time Mum. hehe

Since I’ve been inside I’ve managed to get some wee canvas’s finished. I’ve used small 4×4 canvas’s with pretty pink shades of paint, ribbons and letters on each that spell GRACE. I also decorated a plain lamp for her bedroom with more pink. They really look cool in her room.

I also got some photos printed and papers chosen to finally do some layouts. I hope my scrapping mojo is coming back! hehe Some friends are getting together on Tuesday to create so hopefully Grace is happy enough so I can get some scrapping done.

I’m so happy it’s the weekend, it will be nice to spend some time with Grace and Craig. I know he has missed her this week while he’s been back at work. Grace’s Nana and Granddad arrive home from Singapore too so that will be good to catch up. I know they are hanging out to see how she has changed in the past weeks.

Not much else to add except I hope everyone has a brilliant weekend!

Firstly many thanks for all of the kind birthday wishes. I truly felt spoiled!

I’ve been taking it easy over the past week, just hanging out with my sister and baby Madeline. Here’s a few pictures taken over the past few weeks.

Things with the pregnancy are going well, just waiting out the time till our bubs comes into the world. 13 days to go till due date as of today. I haven’t reached that “I just want baby out” stage yet, and my gut feeling is it will be at least another week yet.

Here’s a picture of me and my belly on the 13th June, a wee while ago but my most recent picture. I hope to get some more taken over the weekend.

Just a few other pictures of some things for the nursery. Craig’s mum knitted this awesome scarecrow doll!  I whipped up these very simple canvas’s to brighten things up. I just wanted to add even more colour to the room! hehe I will be glad when I know what colour to choose in things, I have so much lemon and cream at present.

My sister couldn’t resist today and bought bubs a wee lemon and pink jumpsuit with a cupcake on it! how cool is that. Also in other cupcake news my friends gave me a cupcake stand that holds 23 little cakes… I think I’m getting a name as being a cupcake nut. The lemon meringue cupcakes wee fantastic but got eaten to soon to photograph, I’ll try harder with the next batch

Well I shouldn’t avoid it any longer, my scrap space needs a good sort out and I am hoping to make up some page kits to complete so better hop to it! Catch you all soon.

Wahoo a long weekend and we woke up to a beautiful sunny day! It may be a tad freezing out there but it’s great to see the sun. I hope everyone has a nice relaxing weekend planned?  Our’s has started with a sleep in (trying to get these in before bubs is born)  now we are about to head off to look at baby cot’s and change tables. I can’t wait to get these bits as that will make the nursery feel finished almost. But if anyone knows where I can purchase a sky hook from, please let me know! :p hehe How can such a small wee baby have so many things! I haven’t even been one to go mad and buy heaps, I’ve been sticking to my list of things I need but there is a bit. Oh well it’s all good. We also thought seeing as it’s a nice day , we would head out for a drive somewhere and get some lunch, then tonight our friends have invited us for dinner. So far it’s shaping up to be a pretty nice weekend. Hopefully get some scrapping in tomorrow as the rain is meant to come. Have a fab weekend everyone and enjoy!

Well I thought it was time to update this again. I’ve got a nice hot cuppa tea, my slippers are on and the place is quiet. Even dinner is sorted, I got super keen yesterday and made two huge fish pies, two apple and apricot crumbles, batch of scones, huge pot of pumpkin soup and a Mexican tortilla meal for tonight.

I wanted to do something to help Mum out, she has been having a hard time of it lately, (my Nana is in hospital having an assessment for Dementia) so I gave her one of the fish pies and apple crumbles. I find it hard to support Mum with the health side of it, I don’t like all the details about disorders etc. My Mum and Sister share a compassion to sick people that I don’t seem to have, I will help anyone out but don’t cope well with the hands on stuff, I always feel out of my element (I’m sure I’ll get better at it when bubs arrives) but at the moment I’m much happier to support with food and a listening ear.

In other news, bubs and I are doing well. I’ve been feeling a bit down over the past few days but I think it has more to do with the grey dreary weather than anything else. It was however a lovely sunny day today, I was at work for most of it but it made for a sunnier disposition Also I have been having Braxton hicks for the past few weeks, they are the strangest feeling. I would happily lose them, but my midwife assures me they are a good thing hehe

I checked out the calendar this morning and was shocked to notice my sister’s due date is next Wednesday!!! Bloody heck where did the time go… I now have to urge to get all my stuff sorted as my time is creeping closer and closer!

I am still really excited about the birth, not sure if this will change as I get closer but at the moment I enjoying learning all the bits and bobs at the anti-natal class.

Onto the creative side of things, here are some cards I made for the monthly card swap. The theme was baby so I used a cuttlebug baby themed embossing folder that I got recently. I also picked up two stamps on special, one says “It’s a girl” and the other “It’s a boy”. Quick and easy cards!

Also a 30th birthday card I whipped up for my brother in law.
