Wednesday again so here goes….
1. A big woo hoot for Facebook, I’m loving it at the moment. If you too love Facebook, look me up!
2. The nice sunny day outside, grow vege’s grow!
3. I know I’ve said it before but I love Milo with marshmallows, a nice little treat when you need it.
4. Making new friends through my Plunket coffee group, even if it is a tiny wee group
hehe
5. Watching Craig with Grace, he loves her so much. That is definitely worth a Woo Hoot!
Have a fantastic end to the week, and I look forward to catching up on your Woo Hoots!

Well I’m a bit bored so thought I might as well catch up on a blog entry. We had a nice long weekend here in Canterbury. A hectic week in the Christchurch social calendar. I did miss seeing all of the lovely outfits and hats at Cup day but wasn’t to worried that I didn’t get to go.
Friday was my Nana’s birthday and we spent the afternoon at her place. Even though she has Alzheimer’s it was nice that she was able to partake in the celebrations. She always loves seeing her great granddaughters too.

Here are some yummy Lemon & Passionfruit cream cheese cupcakes I made in place of a birthday cake, they were simply delish.
The cuzzies in there little dresses. Vicki she now fits the dress and it look so cute!
Then on Saturday it was so hot, 31C at 6pm so the weather man said! We pottered about home, cleaned the garage out and just tried to keep cool. I let Grace explore the garden under a bush in the shade.
Her first time on the lawn.
I also got a bit carried away with the camera and took heaps of pictures of Grace playing. Great to scrapbook one day! hehe

How’s everyone going with the Jessica Sprague course? I must admit I haven’t got very far at all. I can’t believe how much printing needs to be done and my printer doesn’t seem to give the best quality.

Well here we are again, yet another Wednesday rolls on by! It’s certainly getting to that busy time of the year, I’ve noticed that most of the shops either have their Christmas decorations up or are putting them up. I had the realisation yesterday that Christmas is only 6 weeks away! Yikes! I’ve found that having a baby means you seem to focus more on week to week rather than looking to far ahead, so I confess Christmas has crept up on me this year at an alarming rate. I still feel like I’m back in September!
1. Firstly I want to Woo Hoot about the lovely weekend away we had with my sister and her family. As said in a previous post it was most relaxing, I managed to have a first bubble bath since Grace was born! Bliss!!
2. The FANTASTIC weather we have been having this week, I have been enjoying sitting in the sun reading whilst Grace naps.
3. My newly sown vege garden is starting to really take off. I so enjoy spending some time in the fresh air watering and weeding in the warm evenings. I can’t wait for the harvest.
4. Starting Jessica Sprague’s "Stories in Hand" course, I have been ready up on the info sent out and it looks so much fun! Nice change to be follow someone else’s ideas in a class. It’s been years since I have taken one. I hope everyone who is doing the class will post pics of there projects as we go.

We had a lovely weekend and spent it at Gore Bay, it’s on the coast between Christchurch and Kaikoura. I had never been there but gosh it was nice. A rugged coastline with sparkly blue water, fresh air and peacefulness. We rented this great beach house with my sister. The only problem was we weren’t there for long enough, shall definitely be booking a long weekend again.

Here’s some rock art that my sister and I made on a beach walk.

The cuzzies hanging out! And no they weren’t meant to look like twins it was just a fluke! hehe

Well after my whinge yesterday I thought it was about time I found the positive in things today. So here goes…
1. Firstly a big Woo Hoot to the lovely ladies that read my blog and always offer support and encouragement! Your kindness is so wonderful.
2. Sitting here drinking my latest drink of choice, Red Seal’s Mi-Chai tea. It’s nice to have a cuppa that’s different sometimes.
3. Even though it miserable and raining here I can be happy with the fact that my newly planted vege garden is getting watered with no effort on my part! hehe
4. Going to head off to the mall today and find some 3/4 jeans and some new tops as an early anniversary present.
5. My car passed it’s WOF yesterday, always a good thing and we washed both cars in the weekend (they haven’t been washed since Grace!) so they look nice and sparkly hehe :p
6. Sitting outside in the sun yesterday catching up with my sister while the baby’s were asleep.
Well this week they were quite simple Woo Hoot’s but its good to find the positive in the simple everyday things sometimes. Hope you’re all having a good week! I look forward to catching up on your woo hoots.

I’m having one of those "blah" days today. I’m generally just feeling a bit run down. No one can prepare you for how knackering being a Mum can be! On top of that I think I could be coming down with something. I hate to give in to bugs and they haven’t won in 4 years so I better dose up with some honey and lemon drinks and rest. In fact the DVD of the "Sound of Music" I borrowed off Mum might be just the thing to cheer me up a bit.
I shouldn’t complain, Grace I think is a relatively settled baby but I think any little person has the ability to tire you! hehe
It’s not helping that she still has not achieved a long period of sleep during the night. She is four months old today and I am wondering if it will ever happen, of course I know it will but when?? This has led me to think it’s time for her to move to her own room and her cot. Last night it dawned on me that I think she is waking because she gets out of her wrap and wakes herself on the edge of the bassinet. I was hoping to wait till she was sleeping longer through the night but I think I will give it a go during the day sleeps then night ones next week. It’s funny how I feel about her being in her own room, I worry about how she will cope when I’m know she will be absolutely fine but I still end up with a minor case of separation anxiety! hehe I am beginning to understand why you other Mother’s always say treasure every moment because they grow up so quickly. I can’t believe she is ready for her cot already!
I have been hoping to get some scrapping done, but by the time the evenings come round and she’s in bed and dinners cooked etc. I’m just not in the mood. I’m hoping Craig’s Mum may start to have Grace a bit more regularly soon so I can have some time to create. I do miss having the free time to get creative, I seem to need a few hours to get into the groove.
Well I think that’s enough moaning, I feel better already. Finally here are some pictures of my why in the end all this effort is so worth it….

Well I thought it was about time that I post again, I keep meaning to but every time I get distracted by something. Surely at 11.30pm on Friday night I should be able to get this post done! hehe Craig is watching "Flight of the Concords" while I post. I’m still undecided on whether I like this program but Craig thinks it’s funny.
Firstly a creative catch up. Here is a layout I did last week of Grace and her cousin Madeline. I was really stuck to start with but I like how it turned out. I have a few other layouts in the pipeline, so hope to get some time to sit and create this weekend.
If you have some spare time, check out this very cool online magazine put together by Scrapbook Outlet. I was impressed by it, it has lots of work by NZ scrap artists in it. http://scrapbookoutletnz.co.nz/e-zine/Default.html

Grace is doing well and I’m settling into being her Mum. She is becoming so animated and funny with each day. Here is a collage I made using Picasa 3 (gotta love it) or the many faces of Grace! hehe

We have been spending more time with my sister and her baby girl Madeline. We spent the day together yesterday and headed out to the Culverden Country Fete. It was an 1 1/2 hours drive there and we had high expectations of the fete after seeing the website but we were left a bit disappointed. Everything was so highly priced, it was certainly catering for the "Ladies that Lunch" crowd. To much effort with bubs so don’t think we will head out next year.
Here are some pictures of them together. They were born 6 weeks apart to the day but Grace has caught Maddy up in size.

I hope everyone has a good weekend planned? We are hoping to have a lazy weekend and get a few odd jobs done. Cleaning the cars and garage are high on the list, the fun never ends! hehe
Take care and enjoy your weekend!

Just thought I would post and keep up to date with the progress of Grace’s 12 month album. I can totally recommend doing a simple album like this. Using this simple formula it makes getting each months pages done really easy.

I thought this week I would actually get my act together and Woo Hoot about something… So here goes.
1. The fantastic weather, 24C yesterday and supposed to be 22C today. I must get the BBQ cleaned and brought out this weekend, it will go nicely with the patio furniture I got off Trademe last weekend. Roll on Summer evenings.
2. Last week I took Grace to the doctors for her first check up, she has had some dry skin and eczema so the doc suggested going dairy free as I have had allergy’s in the past, and he mentioned it may help her colic symptoms. Well it has, she is a different baby. We now have our evenings to ourselves and she is much easier to settle. We have been going out for evening walks then giving her a warm bath and massage then most of the time she falls straight to sleep.
3.A HUGE Woo Hoot to the Sex and the City DVD coming out tomorrow, I loved that movie! It was the perfect end to a brilliant series. I must get a copy to finish my Sex and the City seasons DVD collection.
4. A lovely relaxing weekend. We headed into the Botanic gardens for a walk and lunch at the Arts Centre on Saturday. It was so nice, we are very lucky to have such assets in our city.

5. Picasa 3 is worth talking about, it’s got some very cool new features including this mosaic collage maker. Great for scrapbookers.
6. Cousins hanging out together, aren’t they cute! hehe

October1
1. Had our first plunket group meet up yesterday, I met this lovely lady who lives around the corner and has a wee girl and an interest in crafty things! YAY
2. Sitting here with a lovely hot cup of tea and catching up on blogs while Grace is asleep. Bliss!
3. Daylight saving has started! Yay we are coming closer to warm summer evenings and BBQ dinners!
4. Spending Sunday afternoon at the in-laws for a BBQ lunch to celebrate my brother in laws birthday. Got some nice pictures of the two cousins. I can’t share them yet as they are on the in-laws camera.
5. My fabulous new look blog… I found it the other day as I thought it was about time for a change. I think it looks very scrappy hehe
6. British cooking programs, the Hairy bikers are so funny!
7. Some cute photos of Grace from the past week.
